2017 dubuisson profileDubuisson, pronounced Doo-bē-säw, is a small village about 5 miles northwest of Mirebalais on a major paved road. The area of Dubuisson has fertile soil, with rice and other crops grown there. This school has added grades 7-9 to better serve the children in the area. A well with a pump was installed in 2016 to provide clean water to the schoolchildren.

Facility:   The school building, funded with grants from Hope for Haiti's Children, is constructed of concrete block with a metal roof and a concrete floor. It also serves as the meeting place for the Dubuisson Church of Christ. Five school classes meet inside the main building and five classes meet in two structures outside.

  • School Lunch Kitchen – Addition of a concrete block room for a kitchen ($8,000)
  • Gas Stove, pots and pans for Kitchen - ($1,500)
  • Security Wall – To protect the school resources and children duing recess. A security wall is half-way to completion. The remainder is needed. ($7,000)
  • Furnishings – The school needs additional benches with desktops and chalkboard partitions. ($2,000)
