Current Needs

  • Individual Classrooms – The 1st-4th grade classes meet in one large open room. City schools in Port-au-Prince are required to have separate classrooms in order to be licensed by the government. To meet this requirement and to reduce noise, a second floor with classrooms is needed. ($5,000 per classroom)
  • School Lunches – Food is being provided for this school but funding is needed to help with costs associated with preparing the food for the children ($300/month for Sept-May)
  • Furnishings - The school needs additional benches with desktops and chalkboard partitions ($2,000)
